Injection Moulding is Automatic Plastics Limited primary competence, however it has diversified during its 35 years in business to profitably exceed its customers expectations. The company is no longer just a plastic processor. It has the technical ability and experience to "project manage" the design and manufacture of the moulds required to produce high quality plastic parts. This includes sourcing tools locally but also in the cheaper regions of the far east. We have built strategic relationships with several toolmakers in Singapore and China to ensure that overall capital investment is as low as possible. 

An extensive post moulding operation offers customers services such as Pad-Printing, Ultra-Sonic Welding, Insert Moulding and Component Assembly.  The company sets very high quality standards and this was evident when in February last year the company was registered to the new Automotive standard TS-16949.

Some well known companies that Automatic Plastics supply (directly and indirectly) are Volvo, Porsche, BMW, Citroen, Renault, Braun e.t.c. In addition to Automotive customers Automatic Plastics has a substantial % of its sales in the Pharmaceutical sector which over the next few years it hopes to grow.

Automatic Plastics supply all its plastic components to the highest quality, in the right quantities, at the right time (JIT) and at a competitive price.

The company operates from its 33,000 square foot facility in Co. Wicklow. Recent investments include five all electric Fanuc moulding machines, two 500T Sandretto moulding machines, thirteen high speed CNC robots, two automation cells and an Arburg 2-Shot 2-Colour moulding machine. It is obvious from these investments that Automatic Plastics remains dedicated to quality and competitiveness.  

A new company wide Manufacturing software system has also been added recently. It receives customer orders and forecasts, schedules production and then monitors the production through real time links to all the moulding machines. 

The company is also received accreditation to " Excellence through people". A FAS recognised staff training structure.
