The business was founded in 1972 by Alfred Lawless Snr (since retired). Alfred Lawless (Jnr) now continues to drive the company forward, working with a small, focused management team.
The factory is based in Wicklow, near 3 major ports and only 2 hours from Dublin International Airport. The factory operates in a 33,000 sq ft facility. The company has 68 staff and a variety of state-of-the-art machinery.
While Injection Moulding is the core service offered, APL also offers customers extensive Project Management expertise & Tooling services. Tool management includes the design, sourcing, storing and maintenance of tools.
In terms of delivery for clients, APL has the capacity to operate 24/7, in a 3 shift format. And the business has been dedicated to Quality since it was founded most recently achieving the automotive standard TS 16949

- The company will meet the needs of customers, and potential customers, by taking their initial enquiry and provide quotations based on tool design (if necessary) and manufacture, which will be outsourced, through to giving a price for the moulded component plus any added-value element that may be required i.e. printing, assembly or packing.
- The company will maintain a comprehensive mixture of Plastic Injection Moulding Machines that will be capable of producing quality plastic components and maintain these machines in first class running order.
